The grand fashions how led by Dr. Milagros Ong-How, a business woman and agriculture advocate featured 70 to 90 of the works of Ben Ferrales.
It was opened by the performance of the Angeles University Foundation Choir and Dance Troupe. Then, it featured a short biography of Ben Ferrales' and his more than 50 years of discipline and dedication to the Philippine fashion scene.
There first part "Pais Tropicale" highlights Island-Living fashion. There were resort collections from swimsuits to lounge wear as well as cocktail outfits inspired by tropical island moods.
The Moda Maynila part showed exquisite yet simple draped gowns printed with fluid lines. It was famous for being chic, contemporary and cosmopolitan-styled fashion.
The last part is the Farrales Filipiniana that consists of Muslim-inspired gowns, traditional ternos and Maria Claras.
The show ended with two wedding dresses as a finale
Around 30 models and beauty queens like Justine Gabionza, April Love Jordan, Maricarl Tolosa, Jennifer Barrientos, Stephanie Malibiran, Aya Abesamis, JP Abinuman Cox, Patty Bettita, Gem Padilla, Sara Jane Paez, Izza Gonzalez, Marina Benipayo, Annette Coronel, Suyen Chi and Dez Verdadero.
Proceeds of the show was donated to "Mang Ben's" foundation, the Congregacion Del Santisimo Nombre Del Niño Jesus.
It was a night of great food, beautifully dressed distinguished guests who are friends and family of friends of Ben Ferrales. I was so touched especially when I saw Mang Ben in tears. I also met a lot of great people. Could you believe that I was in the same table as Mr. Edgar Allan of Edgar Allan Boutique found in Glorietta 1 level 3? He was so nice to initiate a conversation to this shy lady too. ;)
